Israeli-American Council (IAC) national summit
Jan. 15-17, 2026
Hollywood, Florida
The IAC National Summit 2026, held in Florida in January 2026, brought together thousands of Israeli-American community members, leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across the United States for several days of dialogue, inspiration, and networking.
The summit featured keynote speakers, panel discussions, and innovation-focused sessions covering topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, and community engagement, while also providing extensive opportunities for professional connections.
Overall, the event highlighted the strength and impact of the Israeli-American community and its role in fostering collaboration, innovation, and shared identity.
We used this high-profile platform to raise awareness for Adult Polyglucosan Body Disease (APBD) at a critical moment in its development journey, as the company advances GHF-201 toward its next clinical study with APBD patients.
Among those in attendance were representatives of the APBD Research Foundation (APBDRF), including co-founder and co-president Emil Weiss, as well as a representative of MIFNEH, the Israeli nonprofit organization supporting individuals and families affected by APBD. MIFNEH was represented at the Summit by Uri Gabay, a volunteer and the son of a person living with APBD, who took part in the awareness-building efforts at the nonprofit booth.
We also hosted a booth in the Summit’s Expo area, where the team engaged directly with attendees to explain APBD, highlight the unmet medical need faced by patients and families, and share GHF’s mission to develop a dedicated treatment for APBD, with the longer-term goal of extending this approach to additional indications, both rare and more prevalent.
GHF was also selected as one of five startup finalists featured in the Tech Show, held in a Shark Tank–style format. The session featured three distinguished judges – Yasmin Lukatz, Shelly Hod Moyal, and Meital Shamia, and was expertly moderated by Dror Globerman.
The room was filled to capacity, with over 500 attendees eager to learn about groundbreaking Israeli innovations. We were also honored by the presence of Dr. Miriam Adelson.
GHF Chairman and Founder Shlomo H. Schneider and GHF CEO Yaniv Glazer shared the story behind the company and its mission. The Chairman remarked:
“When it comes to rare diseases in our community, if we don’t take responsibility for solving the issue, no one else will.”
The CEO then provided an update on the clinical progress of GHF-201, stating:
“We are nearing completion of our Phase I clinical trial in healthy volunteers. We are now preparing to initiate the next clinical study in APBD patients in the third quarter of 2026.”
The presentation concluded with a video of Shlomi Schneider’s mother, Shosh, who is receiving GHF-201 under urgent compassionate use. The video, which illustrated the human impact behind the science, was met with strong and sustained applause from the audience.
In Shlomo H. Schneider final remarks, he emphasized that GHF is currently raising investment to support the timely initiation of the next clinical study in APBD patients, noting that this funding is essential to expanding access to treatment and enabling additional patients to participate in clinical research.
The momentum generated at the IAC National Summit underscored the importance of community engagement in advancing rare-disease programs, particularly in areas where traditional funding pathways are limited.
Continued support from donors, partners, and community leaders will be critical in helping GHF maintain its development timeline and accelerate progress for patients and families affected by APBD.
“If you are an investor, talk to us. If you are part of the community, help us spread the word and connect us with people who can help turn this into reality faster. Together, we can ensure our community does not have to wait for someone else to act.”
